Sometimes you need your files to be protected from the view of unauthorized people, regardless if we are talking about personal or work-related files. One way to do this is to use a file encryption software utility, such as Renee File Protector, which will increase the security of your files. The app's setup process is simple, fast and uneventful and you can start files encryption within a couple of seconds. Once you open this software tool for the first time, you are greeted by the first layer of security that it has to offer: a password creation process.

Here you have to choose a password, while also having the option of inputting a recovery email in case you ever forget it. One thing you should know is that you do not have to input a username since the app only supports one user account per PC. One thing worth mentioning though is that although the UI is apparently simple and easy on the eyes, it's rather redundant since all the buttons that are present in the main menu can also be accessed from the "Protection" submenu.

Once the Installation process completes In a few minutes or so, do not launch the software - for the reason that the "Patch" must be applied to register the tool. This Is done by simply copying It to the program's default Installation directory, and overwriting the existing file and as such, you can use the software without limitations. Now on first use, you will be prompted to enter a password, and also an email address - which Is used as a recovery option In case you forget the password. For obvious reasons, I strongly recommend not to skip this step.
